Preparing for the ICD-10 transition with Medisoft
Medisoft PMS is ready for the anticipated impact of ICD-10 implementation. Medisoft has many features designed to help reduce manual entry and minimize the complexity of ICD-9 to ICD-10 mapping. Medisoft allows for a dual diagnosis list which enables the end user to search for a full or partial description and display how the ICD-10 corresponds to the legacy ICD-9. *Only Versions 19 and 20 are ICD-10 ready
Another great feature is Medisoft's customized carrier settings. The new ICD-10 codes will go into effect on October 1, 2014, but expect some insurance carriers to not be ready for this transition on day one. Medisoft V19 allows the end user to specify whether the carrier is using ICD-9 or ICD-10 and warns if the wrong code is entered. This helps to reduce coding errors, rejections and saving time. When the designated insurance carrier is ready for the transition, it's an easy task to set the new code.
Ready for the new CMS 1500 Claim Form (02/12) which accommodates the ICD-10 codes; Medisoft PMS supports the new form required starting April 1, 2014.
Medisoft PMSfeatures many billing, scheduling and patient accounting enhancements, including Medisoft Mobile, a no-fee application for the iPad® and iPhone®. Medisoft Mobil is ICD-10 ready and allows you to use your phone or tablet to view your schedule plus transmit charges.
